The short version

Sabbaha collects no data at all. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. The app never connects to any server, ours or anyone else's. Your dhikr is between you and Allah, and it stays on your devices.

What stays on your devices

On iPhone and Apple Watch

  • Your counts and history. Daily counts for each dhikr, your round targets and your settings are stored only on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
  • iPhone and Apple Watch sync. The two devices exchange your counts directly through Apple's WatchConnectivity framework so they show the same total. This never passes through our servers.
  • Widgets. The Home Screen, Lock Screen and watch face widgets read the same counts from storage shared only with the Sabbaha app on that device.
  • Reminders. If you turn on the morning or evening reminder, iOS schedules the notification locally on your iPhone. No push server is involved.

On Android

  • Your counts and history. Daily counts for each dhikr, your round targets and your settings are stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage.
  • Backup. If Android backup is on for your Google account, Android may include Sabbaha's counts and settings in your device backup so they come back on a new phone. Google handles and encrypts this backup under your account, and we never receive it. You can turn it off in your phone's Settings.
  • Widget. The Home Screen widget is part of the app and reads the same counts on your phone.
  • Reminders. Morning and evening reminders are scheduled on your phone. No push server is involved.

Permissions

Sabbaha only asks for permission to send notifications, and only when you turn on a reminder. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your phone's settings. On Android, Sabbaha can also vibrate on each count and restore your reminders after the phone restarts. Neither involves personal data, and the app has no internet access.

Third parties

Sabbaha contains no third-party SDKs, analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services. If you choose to share crash reports with developers in iOS settings, Apple may share anonymous diagnostics with us under Apple's own privacy policy. On Android, if you allow it in your phone's settings, Google Play may share anonymous crash and performance statistics with us under Google's privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Delete Sabbaha from your iPhone and Apple Watch, or uninstall it from your Android phone, and its data is removed. On Android, a copy may remain in your own Google device backup until that backup is replaced or deleted. There is nothing stored on our side to delete.

Children

Sabbaha is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date above.
